When out
collecting sheep wool from Dartington Hall, I kept an eye out for other natural
materials I could use in my work. I started noticing the long tapering spikes
on hawthorn shrubs, and decided to see if one would fit as an earring. I found
that I was able to easily push one into my ear and that it was secure. In fact,
I even forgot I was wearing it until I got home that evening, and I only took
it out when I got into bed!
